While a transfer fee is yet to be agreed with the Serie A side, it certainly seems that the Premier League newcomers are closing in on a potential deal.
The report states that Leeds have offered him a significant pay rise on his current deal, meaning that it's now up to the two clubs to thrash out a deal.
De Paul is a familiar face for Bielsa, with the Argentine coach said to have been monitoring his progress closely over recent seasons.
With this development it seems that the duo could finally be set to link up at Elland Road.

Rodrigo De Paul is a talented playmaker and winger with a strong record, having scored seven goals and creating six for Udinese last term.
Marcelo Bielsa is keen to add another creative midfielder to his side, and it certainly seems that the deal is moving closer.
It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can strike a deal to get the deal done, but given the desire of Leeds and the player to complete a deal, it may be the case that Udinese are backed into a corner.
If this does happen then there's a chance that this will be the final piece of Bielsa's jigsaw as he looks ahead to what will be a challenging season.
