Lionel Messi is on his way out of Barcelona.

He's fallen out of love with the club's project and wants to move on for a new challenge.
The news sent shockwaves through the football world. Many supporters expected Messi to stay at Barca forever as a one-club man.
But it seems that won't be the case. Manchester City are favourites to sign the South American superstar, while Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be in the running.
If Messi really does leave, Barcelona will have to replace him - and quickly. After all, they face losing a player who has scored 638 goals and provided 195 assists in 850 games for the club.
Those, are quite unreal stats. So who would be fit to lace the forward's boots and replace him once he's gone?

Some of the names on the list above are more likely to move than others. Martinez has long been linked with a move to Camp Nou, for example.
As has Neymar, who could return after three seasons at PSG... but will he really want to play without Messi by his side?
Other names on the list look less likely to move.
Mbappe, Sancho, Sterling and Dybala would all demand huge transfer fees and it's unlikely Barca would have the money to finance such moves, especially if Messi leaves on a free transfer.
This, of course, all hinges on the Argentine actually leaving. But if he does walk, replacing him with quality will be quite a headache for the Blaugrana.
