Bruno Fernandes' impact at Manchester United after arriving in January was pretty spectacular.
In his 14 Premier League appearances after signing from Sporting Lisbon, the midfielder scored eight goals and delivered seven assists.
Fernandes' output was the catalyst for United's successful push for the Champions League places in the second half of the 2019/20 season.
Without the Portuguese pulling the strings in the middle of the park, it's pretty safe to say that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side would have missed out on the top four.
However, despite all the stats highlighting Fernandes' amazing influence at United, some still believe that all the 25-year-old does is contribute from the penalty spot.
It's a pretty ridiculous analogy to make about an obviously world-class player, but Fernandes has taken the criticism in his stride and responded with some facts for the haters.
Speaking to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Fernandes said: “It was a good impact, because we managed to reach the Champions League and now our goals have to be different, because we have not won any trophy.
“I hear people saying, ah, he only scores from penalty kicks. But a little while ago, I saw the statistics and, except for penalties, only Kevin de Bruyne has a higher involvement in goals than me in England when it comes to midfielders.”
Fernandes has also responded to criticism from Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho.
The Spurs boss told Record a few weeks back, per Sport Witness: "Bruno came in, was fit, played very well, improved the United team and also proved to be a great penalty taker, one of the best in the world, because he had about 20 to score."
Fernandes was asked about the snipe from his countryman and he replied: “I honestly did not feel stung, I feel that I am a good penalty taker and nothing more, I understand, but what I take from his words, because I’m a very positive person, is that he said I hit penalties well.
"It is a reality, not least since I arrived at Manchester United.”
Only four of Fernandes' eight Premier League goals came from the penalty spot, meaning the Portuguese was involved in 11 goals (4G, 7A) from open play in the league.
It's time to accept that the 25-year-old is not simply a penalty merchant - he's one of the best players on the planet.
