Liverpool have been pretty quiet during the summer transfer window.
There's a collective deep breath being taken by Reds fans as they look to enter the 2020/21 season having failed to make a major signing for the second consecutive summer.
It proved to be an inspired decision last year as Jurgen Klopp simply coached a few improvements into his Liverpool side from the previous season to secure their first league title since 1990.
Potentially quiet summer at Anfield
Regardless of whether Manchester City had suffered a substantial decline as they did during 2019/20, it's hard to imagine they would have caught Liverpool as they romped to 99 points.
And although January signing Takumi Minamino looks to be a shrewd purchase for the club in the long-term, it wasn't as though their title-winning run-in depended on his arrival in any way at all.
So, Liverpool were proven right in 2019 and they might well be vindicated for doing so in 2020, but you can forgive Kopites for feeling a little nervous about the lack of activity on Merseyside.
Scope for Wijnaldum to leave
Of course, we can't discuss Liverpool and transfers without mentioning the long-touted rumours surrounding Thiago Alcantara, but we're yet to see any concrete approaches from the Reds.
As a result, you can expect many of the headlines at Liverpool regarding transfers to revolve around exits as opposed to arrivals and one of the biggest could come in the form of Georginio Wijnaldum.
There's not a single Liverpool fan under any illusion that the Dutchman hasn't been a brilliant signing for the club, but there is debate surrounding his importance going into 2020/21.
Barcelona in 'advanced talks'
And it looks as though Liverpool are open to selling because reports from Spain are claiming on Wednesday that Wijnaldum is now in 'advanced talks' to sign for Barcelona this summer.
Wijnaldum made the front page of Spanish newspaper Sport this morning with the publication claiming that the 29-year-old has 'agreed terms' for a three-year deal in Catalonia.
The Bluagrana are now believed to be negotiating a transfer fee with the Premier League champions with any possible deal likely to clock in at between £13 million and £18 million.
Liverpool and Thiago Alcantara
Such a move would see Wijnaldum reunite with former Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman, who replaced Quique Setien as Barca manager after the 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Barcelona are in need of midfield reinforcements after Arthur Melo's move to Juventus, Ivan Rakitic's return to Sevilla and what looks to be an inevitable departure from Arturo Vidal.
However, Wijnaldum leaving Anfield would place Liverpool in a similar predicament and could indicate that the club do have scope to sign Alcantara before the October deadline.
Either way, though, if reports out of Spain are to be believed, Wijnaldum may already have played his final game for Liverpool and what an incredible four year it's been. Fair play, Gini, fair play.
