The transfer window is rumbling on at Leeds and it's getting more exciting as the days continue.

Only last week the Whites secured their record signing.

They hadn't done so since 2000 but such are the riches that come with Premier League life, that they now have a Spain international with Champions League experience aplenty in their side.

It's important not to downplay the arrival of Robin Koch next to Rodrigo, though.

All of the talk this summer had been about Ben White. However, after Leeds failed with three bids for the central defender, it was Koch who arrived instead.

White has since signed a new contract with Brighton, evaporating any slim hope Victor Orta had of luring him back to Elland Road.

Fortunately, Leeds still have plenty of defensive targets still. Whether it be Luiz Felipe or Josko Gvardiol, they're looking to do some hefty business.

Rodrigo at Valencia

However, they may well find it difficult to sign one of their reported targets from August.

Back at the start of last month, Football Insider reported that Leeds were plotting a move to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

A deal in or around the £25m mark was touted for his services, but we've heard little development in this story over the last four weeks.

That was until now.

According to a report from the same outlet, Leeds currently face competition for Batshuayi. That's because West Brom are the latest side to be linked with a move for the Belgian.

This time it's an apparent loan deal that the Baggies are seeking.

Whether this sparks any further interest from Leeds remains to be seen.

Batshuayi

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

Let's put it simply, just because Leeds have signed Rodrigo, it doesn't mean they should neglect their forward line again this summer.

Patrick Bamford is a pivotal cog in Marcelo Bielsa's system but you have to worry about his goals record.

Yes, he still offers plenty to the side, especially when it comes to his work rate and pressing from the front, but at the end of the day, finding the back of the net wins you football matches.

Bamford's tally of 16 last term wasn't the worst, but the fact of the matter is that he's only scored once in England's top-flight from 27 outings.

He might be a more mature player in 2020, but it doesn't bode particularly well for a side aiming to fight off relegation this season.

Batshuayi

If you look at Rodrigo's goal tally of seven from 2019/20, and you start to realise that Bielsa's side need a little more firepower.

Batshuayi has 59 Premier League appearances to his name, scoring 13 goals in the process.

Mainly used as a substitute, he showed what he was capable of when achieving regular minutes for Crystal Palace.

On loan during the 2018/19 season, he netted five times in 11 matches. Not a bad tally at all for someone who's been compared to Didier Drogba.
