It was reportedly a 90-minute meeting between the club's official and Jorge, but it seems to have been beneficial for them as it's now stated that Messi could stay put.

In reality, the only real possible move for Messi was to Pep Guardiola's side; they are probably one of very few outfits that could actually afford the superstar.
However, it now seems that he is willing to back down with his demands and stay put for another season, therefore potentially leaving on a free this time next year.
