According to reports from Argentina, as per the Daily Mail, Lionel Messi is now '90% likely' to stay at Barcelona this summer.

In a transfer saga that is dominating world football right now, it seems that the little magician may be staying put after all, ending speculation of a move to England and Manchester City.

Ever since Barca's humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Messi's future has been talk of the town, with the attacker adamant that his time at Nou Camp is over.

However, since then there has been serious drama involving his contract, his release clause, and whether or not Barcelona will allow him to walk out the door.

La Liga have even got involved siding with the club, highlighting just how important Messi is to Spanish football, and just how desperate they are to keep hold of him.

In the latest reports, Messi's father and agent travelled to Barcelona to have talks with the club, where it's reported he told them his son doesn't see himself there next season.

It was reportedly a 90-minute meeting between the club's official and Jorge, but it seems to have been beneficial for them as it's now stated that Messi could stay put.

Daily Mail are saying that TyC Sports in Argentina believe Messi is now '90% likely' to see out his contract in Spain, snubbing a move to Manchester City in the process.

In reality, the only real possible move for Messi was to Pep Guardiola's side; they are probably one of very few outfits that could actually afford the superstar.

However, it now seems that he is willing to back down with his demands and stay put for another season, therefore potentially leaving on a free this time next year.

One thing is for sure, this isn't the last we've heard of the Messi saga, but as things stand, and if reports are to be believed, he's staying put.
