With FIFA 21 just around the corner, some FIFA developers have simulated the new season on Career Mode and the results may surprise you.

It is important to note that this was completely simulated so any of the teams could have signed anyone.

The top two remained the same from last season, but FIFA didn’t have Liverpool walking the league... they had them beating City by just one win (three points.)

FIFA had Liverpool finishing with 90 points, City on 87.

This is where the simulation gets interesting as they have Spurs, of all teams, finishing in third.

What’s even more incredible is they have them just a mere four points behind Man City and five points clear of Chelsea, who finish fourth in this simulation.

They also have Spurs losing the least amount of games of any team in the league.

Just missing out on Champions League, but in the two Europa League spots, are Man United and Arsenal.

With the newest addition to the team in the form of Donny van de Beek, and with how good they looked towards the back end of last season, this may surprise some fans.

Arsenal’s positioning seems reasonable despite recently winning the FA Cup and Community Shield.

Arsenal always seem to do well in cups, but when it comes to the league, they seem to be one of the most cursed.

Under recently appointed manager Carlo Ancelotti and with their new signings, FIFA evidently think Everton will be a good side again this season as this simulation had them finishing seventh.

This is where the simulation gets slightly controversial, as in eighth, it has West Ham.

West Ham aren’t a bad side, but many have the Hammers going down this season. Despite that, with a good run of form, David Moyes' side might be able to finish somewhere near as they have talent, they just don’t seem to be able to pull together.

Two more very slightly controversial decisions by the sim is that it has Leicester and Wolves finishing ninth and 10th respectively.

Leicester, despite their far from sizeable budget, are a very good side and they have shown it for a few consecutive years now, finishing inside the top five again last year.

Likewise, Wolves had another breakout season last year, finishing seventh and looking unstoppable at times.

Only 11 points separated 11th and the relegation zone, and sitting in that 11th spot was Crystal Palace.

Twelfth was newly promoted Leeds United, 13th was Southampton ands 14th was another newly promoted side in Fulham.

Like previously mentioned, the gap between all these teams is a matter of one or two points, meaning that if it is actually like this in real life, we are looking at a potentially very exciting finish to the season.

In 15th is Brighton, and in 16th is Newcastle United.

Both of these seem fairly reasonable, with Newcastle struggling for backing from Mike Ashley and Brighton struggling last season as well.

Although there has already being some controversial placings of certain teams, perhaps the most controversial of them all is that of Burnley.

This sim had them finishing 17th.

Following another good season for Sean Dyche’s boys again last season, 17th does seem a bit farfetched.

Despite that, there may be still worse to come.

In the first relegation place, the sim had newly promoted West Brom heading straight back down to the Championship.

In 19th sits Sheffield United.

Chris Wilder's men had a really good season last season, exceeding all hopes and expectations, so to have them heading down the next season seems harsh.

Despite losing star keeper Dean Henderson, this surely isn’t enough to see them go from where they were last season to relegated.

In rock bottom was Aston Villa.

This, again, seems unlikely especially if Jack Grealish stays, however, it isn’t something that would surprise absolutely everyone.

Do you agree with the simulation and what FIFA 21 Career Mode had to say about the new Premier League season?
