There can be no denying that Fernando Torres was one of the finest strikers in the world at his peak.During his Liverpool career, there wasn’t a single defender in the Premier League who enjoyed coming up against the Spaniard. He made Nemanja Vidic look like an amateur on more than one occasion.Torres’ subsequent move to Chelsea was a disappointment but he managed to rediscover his love for the game upon his return to Atletico Madrid, where he won the Europa League in 2018.And Torres was a key part of the Spain side that dominated between 2008 and 2012, where La Roja won the World Cup and two European Championships.p1eha8tu9b1o6v54j1rknpst1ds39.jpgTrailer drops for Torres documentaryTorres retired in 2019 and it didn’t take long for Amazon to prepare a documentary on his career. The documentary, titled Fernando Torres - The Last Symbol, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on September 18.It follows his entire journey, from the highs of World Cup glory to the lows of struggling at Chelsea. The trailer for the show has been released and it looks like it’ll be a must-watch.

It will be interesting to see what Torres has to say about his time at Chelsea.

His infamous £50 million move to west London simply didn’t work out, with the striker netting 45 times in 172 appearances and failing to get anywhere near to the level he reached at Anfield.

In Ring of Fire: Liverpool FC into the 21st Century, a book by Simon Hughes, Torres was quoted as saying Chelsea’s different style simply didn’t suit him.

“Chelsea was not good from the beginning. I did not find a team that suited me on the pitch. [There was a] good organisation [off it] but the different personality [of the team] was not for me, even though I got what I wanted [by winning trophies],” Torres said, per The Anfield Wrap.
