Leeds United are surely contenders for having the best summer transfer window so far.

After 16 years outside of the Premier League, the Whites are chomping at the bit to get the new campaign under way.

Marcelo Bielsa led his side to Championship glory last term, winning the league by 10 clear points and proving that they're in fact head and shoulders above their competition.

But this term will be completely different, and Bielsa knows it.

The Premier League is arguably the best in world football, and that means that Leeds will be coming up against 19 clubs who will have equal or greater wealth under their belts.

Bielsa has signalled his intention to keep the faith with the squad of players who secured promotion, however he knows that he'll need to add quality to his ranks.

Robin Koch and Rodrigo are two of the new faces who will help Leeds this season, while the likes of Rodrigo De Paul and Josko Gvardiol have also been linked.

But while these players will undoubtedly add quality, there's an argument that Leeds will need Premier League experience in their ranks.

According to reports, this is exactly what Victor Orta is looking to do.

The Liverpool Echo have claimed that Leeds have contacted Liverpool over a permanent move for Harry Wilson.

The winger spent last term on loan with Bournemouth where he scored seven goals in 35 appearances for the relegated Cherries.

But after returning to Anfield it seems that Wilson faces an uncertain future.

It's claimed that Liverpool are reluctant to allow him to leave the club on loan this term, with a permanent exit the preference if he's to leave the club at all.

However it's also claimed that Jurgen Klopp would be happy to involve him in his first team squad.

Valued at £20million, Leeds will need to pay a significant sum to attract the player, who is also a target for Newcastle United and Southampton.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This would be a major signing if Leeds United were to pull it off.

Described by Eddie Howe as 'hugely impressive', Harry Wilson is a player of real quality who can add something to Marcelo Bielsa's side.

After a season on loan with Bournemouth, he could be a real asset to another team in the Premier League.

Unfortunately I just can't see him heading to Elland Road.

£20million is a significant sum for a player who doesn't appear to be a top target, meaning that Leeds may focus their attention elsewhere.

Rodrigo De Paul looks like a key target, and it seems that he'll be the focus.
