The 2020/21 Premier League season is less than two weeks away.
Arsenal's dramatic win over Liverpool in the Community Shield has teased everyone with the return of English football and now we're just an international break away from the season proper.
There are countless narratives that will take place over the course of the campaign from the fight against relegation, tussle for Champions League qualification and the chase for the title itself.
2020/21 Premier League
Liverpool are entering a Premier League season as champions for the very first time - fresh from amassing 99 points, no less - but Manchester City are widely fancied to claim their title back.
That's not to mention that Chelsea are quietly being touted as dark horses having signed the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell in a summer of spending.
Ultimately, though, we won't know how the 2020/21 Premier League will play out until it commences on mid-September, although that hasn't stopped us from making predictions in the meantime.

However, today we're taking more of an objective approach and have decided to analyse how the 20 clubs are shaping up by using the player values calculated by Transfermarkt.
That's right, we've decided to paint a picture of the 2020/21 Premier League landscape by ranking every club by how valuable their squad is and the results make for interesting reading.

20. West Bromwich Albion - £62.10 million
Slaven Bilic's men are one of the favourites to be relegated next season and in defence of that claim, WBA are miles behind every other Premier League club when it comes to squad value.
Matheus Pereira is the only player in their team rated at over £5 million.
19. Leeds United - £115.25 million
Leeds, on the other hand, are being tipped for a mid-table finish after 16 years away from the Premier League and new arrival Rodrigo, valued at £36 million, does their overall total the world of good.
18. Sheffield United - £124.16 million
Wow. You've really got to take your hat off to Chris Wilder for guiding the Blades to a ninth-place finish last season when their squad is one of the lowest-rated in the entire division and beneath that of three Championship clubs.
17. Fulham - £129.83 million
The most valuable promoted club also happens to be the one that struggled for Premier League promotion the most despite both André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Aleksandr Mitrovic being rated at over £15 million.
16. Burnley - £139.30 million
Again, like Sheffield United, Burnley are an example of no-nonsense coaching and shrewd transfers paying off regardless of transfer value with Sean Dyche's men fresh from an incredible top-half finish.
15. Crystal Palace - £169.65 million
It will come as no surprise that Wilfried Zaha is comfortably the highest-rated player in the squad at almost £40 million and keeping the ex-Manchester United man will be imperative to Palace's survival hopes.
14. Brighton & Hove Albion - £178.16 million
You'd perhaps expect Brighton to be a little lower in the table considering they're never too far away from a relegation scrap, but Shane Duffy and Neal Maupay's £18 million valuations elevate them in the standings.
13. Southampton - £190.08 million
It feels criminal that Danny Ings is only rated at £18 million after competing for the Premier League Golden Boot, but you can guarantee that the Saints will be hoping to finish higher than 13th in the actual standings.
12. Newcastle United - £205.61 million
Aside from the head-scratching fact Joelinton is rated at £18 million - yes, the same as Ings - this placement feels about right for this Newcastle side and Allan Saint-Maximin is rightfully the club's most valuable player.
11. Aston Villa - £212.67 million
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Villa will be hoping for much more than a 17th-place finish this season when you consider their insane summer spending in 2019 and the fact their squad is almost rated as top-half quality.
Jack Grealish's £36 million valuation does inflate Villa's figure a fair amount, mind.
10. West Ham United - £265.64 million
Like Villa, West Ham really need to pull their socks up in 2020/21 and start competing for the top half as opposed to 'just' surviving, especially when they have five(!!!) players rated over £20 million.
9. Wolverhampton Wanderers - £286.92 million
Ruben Neves, Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez are the stars of the show here with valuations exceeding £30 million and you have to say it's bizarre seeing them so narrowly ahead of West Ham and Villa.
8. Everton - £369.95 million
Watch this space because Everton could come hurtling towards the half-billion mark when you consider impending summer signings James Rodriguez and Allan would bring over £50 million of value to the table.
7. Leicester City - £394.47 million
James Maddison and Wilfred Ndidi lead the charge for the Foxes with valuations just shy of £50 million, while Youri Tielemans and Caglar Soyuncu aren't far behind to give Leicester a very respectable placing.
6. Arsenal - £557.42 million
We've finally made our way into the top six and it's Arsenal bringing up the rear with their three most valuable players proving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£50.4m), Alexandre Lacazette (£43.2m) and Nicolas Pepe (£40.5m).
5. Tottenham Hotspur - £649.40 million
Spurs are the first club on the list to feature one of the players in the Premier League's most valuable XI with Harry Kane commanding a transfer fee of £108 million, which is over £50 million more than Heung-min Son.
4. Manchester United - £721.89 million
The signing of Donny van de Beek elevated United past the £700-million mark with his valuation of £39.6 million, though Paul Pogba remains the MVP with a dazzling price tag of £72 million.
3. Chelsea - £792.09 million
The Blues have done no end of climbing this summer with the signings of Ziyech (£36m), Werner (£57.6m), Silva (£4.32m) and Chilwell (£36m), while N'Golo Kante (£72m) still ranks in the most valuable XI.
2. Liverpool - £922.59 million
The reigning Premier League champions have no less than five players in the competition's most valuable XI: Alisson Becker (£64.8m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£99m), Virgil van Dijk (£72m), Andrew Robertson (£57.6m) and Mohamed Salah (£108m).
1. Manchester City - £952.76 million
So, shock horror, Pep Guardiola's men are in top spot and Raheem Sterling's status as the Premier League's most valuable player at £115.2 million sees them take another accolade to boot.
The Citizens would easily surpass the one-billion mark if they sign Lionel Messi or Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, which is a pretty scary thought, to say the least.
Interesting final table
For the most part, it's pretty astonishing how much the value rankings mirror the most recent Premier League season with the most valuable top four being, well, the actual top four.
Some of the most interesting examples is Aston Villa who, having spend big in the transfer market last summer, find themselves almost in the top half despite having narrowly avoided relegation.
And on the flip-side, Sheffield United are the overachievers supreme after launching a tangible charge at European football last season despite being in the relegation zone in terms of value.
So, although squad value and genuine position tend to go hand in hand for the most part, it goes to show that the beautiful game isn't always about how much money you have in the bank. It doesn't half help, mind.
