The vast majority of Manchester United fans were thrilled when they completed the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January 2018.The Chilean forward had been one of the Premier League’s best performers since joining the Gunners from Barcelona in 2014 and arrived at Old Trafford in a deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the opposite direction.United handed Sanchez their iconic No. 7 shirt as fans expected fireworks from their new South American signing.However, everybody at Old Trafford was left bitterly disappointed.Sanchez was inexplicably worse than anyone could possibly have imagined.

Eventually I signed but I didn't ask for information on what was happening inside the club,” he said in a video released on social media, per Sky Sports."Sometimes there are things that you don't realise until you get there, and I remember the first training session I had, I realised a lot of things.
"After the session I got home and I told my family and my agent 'can you not rip up the contract to go back to Arsenal?'. They laughed, I told them there's something that doesn't sit right, it doesn't seem good."But I already signed, I was already there. After the first few months I carried on having the same feeling, we weren't united as a team in that moment."No wonder he struggled with that attitude.Former United defender Rafael, who the Old Trafford will always fondly remember thanks to his passionate attitude, has reacted on social media to Sanchez’s comments.He posted on Instagram: “Maybe he saw a ghost and get scared that’s explain why he play so bad every time.”
