Kai Havertz has completed his move to Chelsea and becomes one of the club’s most expensive signings in the process.The talented 21-year-old midfielder, who caught the eye at Bayer Leverkusen over the past couple of seasons, has put pen to paper on a five-year contract.Havertz was announced as a Chelsea player on Friday evening after being granted permission to complete the transfer from the German national team.He is Chelsea’s sixth major signing of the summer following the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.The deal has cost Chelsea £71 million, including add-ons. This makes Havertz Chelsea’s second-most expensive signing.

Rating: 7/10
Luiz played seven seasons with Chelsea over the course of two spells and won a Premier League title, two FA Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.
The Brazilian defender’s rating isn’t higher for obvious reasons. He made more than his fair share of individual mistakes on the pitch.
19. Eden Hazard (Fee: £31.5m)
Rating: 10/10
One of the best players in Chelsea’s history, the exceptional Hazard netted 110 goals in 352 games for the Blues before completing a £100 million move to Real Madrid in 2019.
18. Willian (Fee: £31.95m)
Rating: 7/10
Sometimes brilliant, other times frustrating, Willian scored 63 goals in 339 appearances for Chelsea before recently joining Arsenal.
17. N’Golo Kante (Fee: £32.22m)
Rating: 9/10
The loveable Frenchman won the title in his first season with Chelsea, as well as the Premier League Player of the Season award. Kante has been worth his weight in gold for the Blues since his arrival from Leicester City.
16. Danny Drinkwater (Fee: £34.11m)
Rating: 1/10
Sadly, Kante’s former Leicester teammate Drinkwater failed to have the same impact at Stamford Bridge. The midfielder has only made 23 appearances for the club since 2017, scoring one goal.

A tremendous central midfielder who always gave his all for the Blues, Essien played 256 games for Chelsea between 2005-2014, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.

The hot-headed Spaniard won two Premier League titles with Chelsea, as well as the League Cup, before returning to Atletico Madrid after falling out with Antonio Conte.

The greatest player in Chelsea’s history? It’s surely between Drogba and Frank Lampard. The world-class striker won four league titles, the same number of FA Cups and famously inspired the Blues to Champions League glory in 2012.

If only his football was as good as his social media game. Batshuayi netted 25 goals in 77 matches for the west London outfit.

A top midfielder, Kovacic should keep his place in Chelsea’s starting line-up during the 2020-21 season.
