When Tottenham face Everton on the opening weekend of the season, it'll be a battle of two very different sides.

The Toffees have looked to splurge some huge cash reserves this summer, adding Allan to their ranks and pursuing James Rodriguez too.

However, for Spurs, they are being forced to act in a completely different market to their competitors.

Spurs have been short on funds this summer, facing losses of over £200m, but that doesn't mean they still haven't been able to conclude some eye-catching business.

The ever consistent Matt Doherty signed from Wolves in a £12m deal that should hopefully end their weakness at right-back.

Daniel Levy hasn't been able to act as rashly as he did last summer but that's suited him. He has been calm, collected and most importantly, shrewd.

He still has one massive dilemma to address, though. Tanguy Ndombele.

The Frenchman arrived for a club-record fee last summer but supposedly doesn't want to play under Jose Mourinho ever again.

A move to Inter or Juventus has been touted and if Spurs can move him on, they'd presumably have a bit more to spend.

And former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has revealed exactly where Spurs should spend it. Speaking to talkSPORT (03/09/2019), he commented:

"[Grealish and Maddison] are the type of players Spurs need to try to sign. Absolutely, they should be going for him [Grealish].

“If they raise £60 million for Tanguy Ndombele, they have to get a number ten who is going to make a real difference. Look at Fernandes when he came in at Man United," O'Hara began.

He then added: "You know what they should do? Go all out to get Adama Traore and get Lo Celso as the number ten, because he’s fantastic and he loves to get on the ball and make things happen.

“If you have [Lo Celso] as the number ten and then get Adama Traore, you’ve got pace and power with creativity."

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

Even if Spurs managed to shift Ndombele this summer, a move for Adama looks incredibly unlikely.

The Wolves winger is a special player and he set the Premier League alight last term with four goals and nine assists.

The 24-year-old also racked up a quite ridiculous five dribbles per game. It's no surprise that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp described him as "unplayable."

Traore is an absolute road runner. He knows how to beat a man and the 2019/20 campaign proved he now has end product to match it. On his day, the Spaniard is a frightening individual.

However, Tottenham will need to consider his current market valuation. According to The Times, Wolves value him at £135m.

In a normal window for Spurs, they'd struggle to afford that, let alone in a market that's been so impacted by the ongoing pandemic.

O'Hara might want Adama at Spurs, but it's simply so far-fetched to think it'll happen.
