What a summer it has been for Leeds United.

After storming to promotion in emphatic fashion last term, Marcelo Bielsa's side are preparing for life in the top flight.

It's been 16 long years since Leeds have competed in the Premier League and they're certainly not taking the challenge lightly.

Victor Orta has certainly taken on the challenge of strengthening the side this summer, with Robin Koch and Rodrigo already joining the club alongside a flurry of high potential additions.

They've also been linked with moves for Rodrigo De Paul, Conor Gallagher and Josko Gvardiol.

With over seven weeks remaining of the transfer window, Michael Brown believes that we could be seeing plenty more of Leeds in the headlines as summer deals continue to be completed.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown said: “Leeds are a big club, players will want to go to them, they will understand with that manager how he can develop you.

“There will be lots of players still linked right until the end of the window and you wouldn’t be surprised if Leeds United have more than one new signing up their sleeve.

“It just shows you the names that we’re talking about, it’s amazing, isn’t it?

That’s how far Leeds have come.

"These are all exciting names but until they’re over the line… it is exciting to be linked with such players.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Leeds United are certainly enjoying themselves this summer.

Placed firmly on cloud nine after winning promotion, few can begrudge supporters a few months of feeling untouchable as they prepare for life in the top flight.

That said, it's back to work next week.

Once the Premier League season gets going there will be no hiding place for the club.

Bielsa's side will need results straight away if they're to at least reach the magical 40-point mark and avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

While they absolutely blasted life in the second tier, the top flight is a completely different kettle of fish with even the teams in the lower reaches of the table having significant riches to speak of.

While Leeds appear to have made some good signings, we won't know how good they are until we see them in action.

It takes time for new signings to settle into a new club and country, and the hope is that these players can hit the ground running.

If they can, then happy days.

But if they struggle it's important that supporters are prepared for what will inevitably be a long, hard season.
