After 16 years away, the Whites are preparing to return to the Premier League - the place where they feel they belong.
It's been a long road back, but the feeling in Yorkshire is that they're ready.
In Marcelo Bielsa they have a head coach who will be the envy of every team outside of the top six.
After two years in charge his players know exactly what is expected of them, and that is that they outwork and outthink their opponents in every game.
It's that mindset that saw Leeds storm to victory in the Championship and they'll be hoping to do the same next season.
With new signings Robin Koch and Rodrigo on board and a number of other players linked with a move, the Whites seem suitably prepared for what could be a difficult first season back.
The battle to avoid the drop looks set to be fierce, but according to pundit Robbie Savage, Bielsa's side have enough to avoid relegation and finish the season safely in the mid-table position of 14th.
Writing for The Mirror, Savage said: “Marcelo Bielsa coaching in the Premier League will be one of the most fascinating subplots of the season and, as an attacking force, record signing Rodrigo will give Leeds a focal point.
“I hope they do well, and they could finish anywhere between the top six and the bottom three, but I suspect it will be somewhere in the middle.”

After the high of promotion it'll be very interesting to see what the new season brings.
Confidence will be incredibly high at Elland Road, and the the hope will be that the positive impact of promotion can see them off to a good start.
Getting points on the board early doors will be vital to the season ahead.
Plenty of teams will be battling to avoid the drop, and there's no escaping the fact that Leeds will be one of them.
Victor Orta has done a good job so far of targeting players who will improve the quality of the team, but those signings are not without risk.
There is a real need for those players to hit the ground running this term, otherwise things could get tricky.
Leeds will certainly be interesting to watch this term, and I can't wait to see how the campaign unfolds.
