Tottenham Hotspur certainly have a point to prove this season.
Last term was nothing short of disastrous for Spurs as they fell short of expectations both domestically and in Europe.
While Jose Mourinho came in to turn the tide, the best that he could do was secure a sixth place finish in the Premier League that would see them compete in the Europa League this time around.
It was far from a perfect season, but given how poor they were Daniel Levy will have been somewhat satisfied in the end.
But this year will be completely different.
Tottenham need to qualify for the Champions League otherwise the season will have been a real failure.
The signings of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty will hopefully provide Mourinho with the sort of leadership and competitive spirit that he typically looks for in a side, but there's still plenty of work to be done in terms of recruitment.
Spurs desperately need a new striker to provide competition for Harry Kane, and according to Football London reporter Alasdair Gold, the north London side may have found someone who fits the bill.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold said: "One player who I’ve been told that they are looking at is Habib Diallo.
“His name came up earlier in the window but there seems to be a bit more to it.
"They’re looking at a few strikers and he’s one of a few.
“A 25-year-old from Metz, he scored 12 goals from 27 Ligue 1 appearances this year in a struggling Metz team.
“The previous season he was responsible for them getting promoted and scored 26 goals in 37 league games, so he knows where the back of the net is.
“He’s 6ft 1, so he’s that Mourinho profile and he was captain so he had that mentality.
“He’s got two years left on his deal and the price for him would be much more reasonable for Spurs.
“They looked at him in January and the indications are that he really wants to come to Tottenham and would be happy with the role of supporting Harry Kane as well.
“It’s one where they’re looking to move into advanced areas with because they need them sooner rather than later.”

Well, you find a player with a strong goalscoring record who is chomping at the bit to prove himself with one of the Premier League's top clubs.
Habib Diallo would be a relatively cheap, low-risk signing for Spurs and it sounds like he has the correct skillset and mentality to thrive under Jose Mourinho.
This would be a great deal to get over the line, and one that will be worth tracking over the coming weeks.
