West Ham are already in a bit of a mess before the season has even started. The Hammers sold 22-year-old Grady Diangana to West Brom for £18 million last week, leaving captain Mark Noble fuming.Noble took to Twitter to express his anger."As captain of this football club I'm gutted, angry and sad that Grady has left, great kid with a great future," Noble tweeted.
The post was liked by team-mate Declan Rice while Arthur Masuaku replied with a broken heart emoji.
It’s the latest in a long list of decisions made by the club that has upset West Ham supporters down the years.
In fact, one Hammer is so upset that he’s created a Twitter thread explaining “Why West Ham have the worst owners in the Premier League.”
The lengthy thread is getting plenty of attention from both West Ham fans - and rival fans who feel sympathetic to their situation.
We’ve picked out some of the best tweets included in the thread:
“When Big Sam was manager, David Sullivan would make his own mind up on what players to sign. David would bring in a player he fancies, so you would have to live with that. He says, “I have got you a little present” but you just hope it works.”
“In the summer before the first season at the LS, we were continuously promised a £30m striker who would score 20 goals. We were linked with the likes of Lacazette, but ended up with Zaza and Calleri, both on loan, and Ashley Fletcher on a free. All 3 were massive flops.”
“After Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte both had a disappointing first 6 months after signing in January 2017, David Sullivan publicly revealed that his children “begged” him not to sign them both. They were both still West Ham players at the time.”
“After 10 years of service, James Collins’ contract was coming to an end and fans were expecting him to either be given another year or receive a testimonial. Instead, he was released via email and not given a testimonial which caused huge anger amongst the fans.”
