Luis Suarez’s six-year Barcelona career could be coming to an end.
The Uruguayan forward has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A outfit Juventus, and a deal is edging closer.
According to Sport, Juventus are putting the finishing touches to Suarez’s contract.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable spell at the Camp Nou, scoring 198 goals in 283 goals and winning four La Liga titles.
But 2019/20 was a down year for the former Liverpool striker. It was the first time since his debut season at Barcelona that he failed to score 20 goals in the league, and signs of a decline were noticeable.
Suarez feels like the type of player who could be the missing piece for Juventus in their bid to win the Champions League. Partner him with Cristiano Ronaldo and the Italian club will present a significant threat up front.
Suarez's physique concerns fans
However, Juventus will hope for an improved version of the striker seen in new footage of Barcelona training.
Two videos of Suarez looking slow and lacking sharpness have emerged on Twitter.
Fans are now expressing concern for the forward. It doesn't look good with the new season approaching - regardless of which club Suarez is playing for.
It's a sad reminder that we'll probably never see Suarez at his rampant best ever again.
The striker underwent surgery on a knee problem at the start of 2020 and it looks like he's still feeling the effects.
Fans on social media couldn't help but react to the footage, with many concerned over the Uruguay international's physique.
