Liverpool have done some great business when it's come to selling players down the years so it's no surprise to see they're standing firm over their valuation of £20m.
Dominic Solanke was sold to Bournemouth for £19m only a few years ago for instance, so Michael Edwards clearly knows how to get a deal done.
That being said, Wilson simply isn't worth that amount. He scored seven times last term and is never going to get in Jurgen Klopp's side when you consider the players they already have in their forward ranks.
For a club like Aston Villa, he'd be a decent capture, though.
Described as "exceptional" by Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa during his stint at Derby in the Championship, Wilson certainly knows where the back of the net and for a side who failed to get much output from their wingers in 2019/20, that bodes well.
Over the last two years, the 23-year-old has scored 25 times. One of those even came against the Villans. That was in August 2019 when the flanker completely embarrassed Neil Taylor.
The Villa left-back finished with a match rating of just 6.3, via WhoScored, as Wilson managed five shots and two crosses. Taylor simply couldn't live with him.
