For West Bromwich Albion, this summer has been rather tepid. That's how supporters would have felt before September came around anyway.
Heading into the current month, they'd only signed Matheus Pereira and were lagging behind in the transfer market.
However, Luke Dowling has done some tremendous business in the last fortnight that's helping Albion look more like a Premier League outfit.
The signing of Grady Diangana stands out, while they also brought in central defender Cedric Kipre.
David Button has walked through the door while Callum Robinson came back for a second spell at the Hawthorns on Wednesday.
However, one of the best pieces of business from Dowling and Slaven Bilic was to get rid of Oliver Burke.
The Scot joined for a fee of £15m in 2017 but has finally moved on permanently, joining Sheffield United.
The Baggies have been keen to add to their forward line and they could sign a striker before the window is said and done.
And according to The Daily Mail, that could be Watford forward Andre Gray.
The newspaper suggests that West Brom want to sign the 29-year-old on a loan deal and with their restricted budget, see him as an ideal solution.
It's thought that Bilic wants a mobile forward who can get in behind and he sees either Gray or Huddersfield's Karlan Grant as options in the market.
The latter is valued at around £16m so a move for the Watford attacker looks far more likely.
It might not be too ambitious, but Albion must look after their finances.

It is of utmost importance that West Brom sign a new forward in the coming weeks.
Last term, their strikers were far from clinical.
Charlie Austin and Hal Robson-Kanu netted ten goals each while Kenneth Zohore only scored on three occasions.
If they struggle to beat the goalkeeper in the Championship, then you have to worry about their potential in the Premier League.
Austin and Robson-Kanu may have top-flight experience, but they'll need another option to choose from.
Gray could well be that man. He has 115 top-tier appearances to his name and is a striker of "proven pedigree" according to Darren Bent.
That being said, he has scored only 23 goals in the Premier League so it isn't a certainty he'll hit the ground running.
However, he would fit the profile that Bilic is looking for. Further talking about Gray, Bent once said: "He was one of the best players in the Championship that season [2015/16], he’s got the pace, the power."
His goal record might not say too much, but he is a busy forward who is willing to put his neck on the line for the team. There are certainly worse qualities West Brom could be looking for.
