Manchester United fans will be happy with the arrival of Donny van de Beek.

The Dutch midfielder moved to Old Trafford last week, completing a £35m deal.

But with rivals like Chelsea and Tottenham strengthening as well this summer, it's unlikely Van de Beek will be the only new player to walk through the door.

The player that most supporters are dreaming of is Jadon Sancho.

He's arguably Europe's hottest young prospect, having made a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund over the last two seasons.

Earlier this summer, it looked as if Man United were close to a deal too.

But unfortunately, all that fizzled out... or so we thought.

The Sancho deal had gone quiet recently

Talk of Sancho moving back to the Premier League just won't go away and if certain reports are to be believed, United are still desperately trying to get a deal over the line.

Now, according to The Sun, Sancho might offer them a hand.

The paper reports that the young English star has 'adjusted his salary expectations' and is 'now actively pushing for the move'.

Sancho is pushing for a move

Pretty exciting, right?

Once a player starts pushing for a move, there's very little that can be done to stop them going.

This isn't the first breakthrough Man United have had this week either.

Man Utd have made two breakthroughs this week

Per Sky Sports, the two parties are now making progress over the issues of agent fees and personal terms.

"In the past 24 hours there have been developments and potentially good news for Manchester United fans," reporter Dharmesh Sheth said.

"The issues of agent fees and personal terms, I've been told, are no longer a problem.

Sancho could be a Man Utd player after all

"Given that this was the issue for the past two or three weeks that Manchester United weren't making a bid because they needed to sort out agent fees and personal terms for Jadon Sancho, this appears to be some sort of a breakthrough."

Maybe it's finally time to get excited, Man United fans...
