A new era is dawning at Barcelona... or so we thought. Last month, Ronald Koeman arrived at Camp Nou and quickly set out to stamp his mark on the team. He reportedly told a number of first-team stars their services are no longer needed in a series of short phone calls. One of those told to find a new club immediately was Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker has been at Barca since 2014 and to date, has scored 198 goals in 283 games. But he's 33-years-old now and in the eyes of many, is past his prime. Last week, it was suggested Suarez was on his way to Juventus to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo, but it seems that move may fall through.Suarez has been told to leave BarcelonaAccording to the latest reports from Spanish journalist Alfredo Martinez, the striker has reportedly made a decision to STAY at Barcelona. "Suarez considers that he has to collect what is left of his token [salary]. He has not decided to leave," Martinez claims, per Brujula del Deporte.

GIVEMESPORT's Ollie Browning says:

That's quite the U-turn from Suarez. This time last week, it seemed he was certain to join Juventus.

Suarez might not leave after all

Yes, that move could be complicated by the fact he'll need to pass a number of exams to work in Italy, but surely moving away is better than staying at Barcelona when he's unwanted by the boss.

Perhaps though, he's been convinced to stay by Lionel Messi

The Argentine superstar has committed his own future for one more season and has an incredible relationship with Suarez.

Messi and Suarez have a great relationship

Both men might be well into their 30s, but they are still one of the deadliest duos in Europe.

Suarez has the choice of playing with either Messi or Ronaldo next season and it seems he's decided to stay with the one he knows best.
