For those of you who picked Mohamed Salah in your Fantasy Premier League sides for the new season, you’re probably feeling pretty smug right now.
If you captained him, then you’re even smugger.
That’s because the Egyptian scored a hat-trick as Liverpool beat Leeds 4-3 at Anfield.
Funnily enough, FPL actually asked the Liverpool players which teammate they should sign in their side this season to which Salah replied: “This season for Fantasy Premier League, sign me. Because I get the most points every year, so it’s easy.”
We should have listened.
So should two of his teammates, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
That’s because the two full-backs have had their FPL sides discovered - and neither of them have Salah.
Twitter user 'Fake Carlton Cole' has found a few professional players' Fantasy teams included the two Liverpool stars.
And they didn't even pick Salah!
Oh dear.
ANDY ROBERTSON'S FPL TEAM
Robertson's team - called ‘Show me the Mane’ includes himself, Sadio Mane and, interestingly, Curtis Jones. Elsewhere, he has Hugo Lloris, Scottish teammate Kieran Tierney, Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner and Danny Ings.
However, his captain choice of Mane returned just four points.
ALEXANDER-ARNOLD'S FPL TEAM
As for Alexander-Arnold and his ‘TAA’s XI’ team, well they didn’t fare too much better.
Trent went for three defensive Liverpool players with himself, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson. He wouldn’t have enjoyed conceding three goals to Leeds then, but luckily for him, Van Dijk got himself on the scoresheet. His captain choice of Danny Ings also returned very little.
They both should probably consider sticking in Salah…
One man that definitely would have picked Salah in their FPL side if they entered one is Jurgen Klopp.
He sang the praises of his star man after his match-winning performance.
"First and foremost, congratulations to him because he’s a very special player," Klopp said after Liverpool's hard-fought victory.
"A very, very special player. The numbers tell the story a little bit, all the rest around you probably don’t know.
"Today is a very good example. Yes, he put three more goals on his score list but the performance around was absolutely exceptional in a game like this. So he deserved the goals today, 100 per cent.
"Yes, two were penalties – one was a sensational finish – but he deserved these goals because he was constantly pressing and present, caused the opponent massive problems, was top in one-on-one situations, played football.
"Of all the good performances Mo had for us obviously, this was for sure one of the better ones. So he should be proud of that because it’s very special to have these kind of numbers. ‘Long may it continue,’ I like to think in these moments, and this time I say it as well."
