As if Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden weren’t regretting their actions in Iceland enough, the girls that they met are sharing more details about the night.
Greenwood and Foden were caught out after meeting Nadia Gunnarsdottir and her cousin, Lara Clausen, in the England team hotel, leading to their dismissal from the camp.
Lara has since given an interview to the Daily Mail in which she revealed all about her night with Foden.
Now, Nadia has opened up about her “heated” night with Greenwood.
“Mason kissed me and things got pretty heated,” Nadia, a Miss Universe Iceland finalist last year, told The Sun.
“He was certainly not as shy physically as he was socially. Yes, things happened. But I don’t want to go into detail.”
The 18-year-old Manchester United striker contacted Nadia, a model, on a dating app before asking her to book herself into the Radisson Blu Saga hotel in Iceland.
Nadia first received a message from Greenwood at 9:20pm on September 5, hours after he had made his international debut.
They chatted online the next day before arranging to meet in England’s hotel after Greenwood told her he couldn’t leave due to security.
Nadia made the reservation online and was dropped off by Lara, a make-up artist, at around midnight.
“I had googled Mason and checked his Instagram so knew who he was and that he played for United and had played against Iceland for England,” she added.
“I said I would come and booked a room and then he showed up with Phil, and I didn’t know who he was.
“Mason said, ‘Do you have a friend?’ I said, ‘Yeah the one who dropped me off.’”
Nadia then phoned her cousin and invited her back to the hotel. The players asked if Lara could bring some sweets.
Lara arrived with Sour Patch Kids sweets and Icelandic Vegan Tritlar fruit-flavoured jellies.
“Lara was in a shopping centre so got them the candy they asked for,” said Nadia.
“We all chilled together. Mason ate virtually the whole packet of Tritlar and Phil had some too.
“We all got along and were in my room just chatting, laughing and joking. Phil was open and outgoing but Mason was quite shy.
“They were telling us they thought Iceland was boring, and asking if there was much to do.”
Lara also booked a room and spent the night with Man City’s Foden.
“We could hear them laughing and having fun next door,” Nadia said.
“Mason tried to call Phil and he didn’t pick up so Mason went into their room.
“He took some videos of them, including of Phil kissing Lara on the cheek and holding hands.
“Mason also had a video of Lara in her underwear.”
Greenwood and Foden returned to their rooms at 3am.
But after being caught, the pair were sent home by Gareth Southgate and fined £1,360 for breaching Iceland’s coronavirus regulations.
Nadia said: “Yes, of course they were irresponsible. But I guess it was also irresponsible of us to go and meet people from another country.
"I feel sorry for them - I feel bad for everything that has happened. But their careers are just starting and are not ruined.”
