It’s great to see Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa in the Premier League.

Many feel as though the Whites belong in the top flight. They were away for 16 years but are back after winning the Championship last season.

And in Marcelo Bielsa, they have one of the smartest minds in the whole game and a true entertainer.

The Argentinian’s side showed that they will cause problems this season in a 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the season.

We’ve seen many teams come to Anfield and completely fold, but Leeds tried to play their game, took their chances and were just a few minutes away from securing a point.

It wasn’t to be but Saturday’s performance was a sure sign of Leeds’ talent.

For those who haven’t seen Bielsa manage before, get ready to see some rather unusual traits.

The 65-year-old walks around his technical area in exactly 13 steps - a lucky number in South America - and sits on a bucket to watch games.

You’d imagine that Bielsa’s view might be hampered from a lower position, but it’s actually a necessity due to chronic back pain.

Journalist Guillem Balague revealed last year, per the Mirror: “He [Bielsa] walks the four miles from his home to the training ground.

“His intense walking during games and his moments of crouching down on what looks like a plastic bucket is his way of dealing with constant back pain that has not left him since his time as a player."

Bielsa sat on a cooler box during his time in charge of Marseille but Leeds have given him his own bucket that features the Leeds crest and a sponsor’s logo.

When Leeds played Rotherham early on in Bielsa’s reign, opposition boss Paul Warne admitted he felt “a little nervy” when he saw the bucket.

“Sitting down on that thing's a bit weird," Warne said, per the Mirror.

“To be honest, when it started, I can't lie, I was a little bit nervy and I'm thinking, 'phh, how's it going to go today?’

"I thought 'I just need a little sit down for a minute', but because he's sitting down, I'm sitting down and I'm waiting for the press to go 'oh, he's copying him!'.

"So I thought I've got to stand up, stay standing up. I jumped up straight away. But his looks more comfortable than my ice box. It's a class bit of kit that. I'm pretty impressed."
