This has been another momentous summer for Aston Villa.
In 2019, the club spent £140m but in 2020, they're beginning to get close to that marker once again.
Suso may not be at the club, but that doesn't matter because Johan Lange is also flexing the club's renewed financial muscle.
The backing of Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris is aiming to take the Villans to a new level.
Last season will have been disappointing after finishing one place above the relegation zone, but they look well set to improve this campaign.
They have added Ollie Watkins for a club-record fee and after he scored on his debut in a pre-season friendly against Manchester United, the signs look promising.
Matty Cash will add a great deal down the right-hand side, but it now looks like Lange will add two further players to Aston Villa's armoury.
A deal for Emi Martinez is close to being confirmed but their third signing of the summer window could be formalised before that.
That's because Villa are on the verge of welcoming Lyon winger Bertrand Traore to the Midlands.
Lange failed with his first bid for the former Chelsea attacker but a fee of £19m has now supposedly been agreed.
The Telegraph reports that he's set to sign as Aston Villa take their spending for the last few months to £75m.
Traore supposedly had his medical on Monday in Denmark and according to RMC, he will travel to England to officially put pen to paper on Wednesday.
Exciting times indeed.
GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...
£19m is a lot of money to spend on a player who scored just four times last term.
At the end of the day, the Villans need more firepower from those positions and although Traore is a tricky player, so was Trezeguet before he arrived.
The Egyptian completed 3.3 dribbles per match in his final season in Turkey but for Villa in 2019/20, he only managed 0.9 a game. That tally is a pretty dramatic drop and doesn't bode well for someone like Traore either.
However, it's important to consider that the Burkina Faso international does already have experience of English football - something Trezeguet did not.
Traore played ten times in the Premier League during his spell for Chelsea and should need little adaption time when it comes to signing for the club.
Villa have targeted individuals with experience of English football this summer, rather than players like Wesley and Mbwana Samatta last season, so the 25-year-old certainly fits the brief Lange has been given.
That being said, there has to be some scepticism about this move - he only managed 14 starts in Ligue 1 last season.
