Barcelona are facing a daunting prospect this summer. After years of dominance in an exciting era for the club it seems that now is the time for significant change at the club. This moment has been brewing for a couple of years with club legends such as Xavi and Andrea Iniesta moving on.But last term things really came to head with a disappointing La Liga and Champions League campaign. An 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich signalled the end for several key figures at the club, including Quique Setien and Eric Abidal who both moved on from their respective roles as head coach and sporting director. That was before the huge situation of Lionel Messi's future was cast into doubt. The Argentine ultimately decided to stay at the club this term, but it seems that this may be a short-term solution.p1ei8ohco4163s59ad38oj62pn9.jpgBut with that the focus at Barcelona is on building a new team that will dominate.Several players have been linked, but one deal really seems to be gathering pace.Memphis Depay enjoyed an excellent season with Lyon last term where he scored 15 goals in just 22 appearances for the French side. That has alerted Barcelona to his services, with journalist Fabrizio Romano suggesting that a €30million deal could soon be agreed.

Taking to Twitter, Romano said: "Barcelona will end up signing Depay - final fee €30m (add-ons included).

"The first official bid will be accepted by OL.

"Personal terms already agreed days ago.

"Manchester United never been interested in matching the bid. Koeman spoke with Memphis last week."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This will be a very interesting deal if it gets completed.

Memphis Depay is a player who always looked set to thrive at a big club, but things didn't quite go to plan early in his career.

It seemed that Man United were going to be the making of him, but the Dutch star just didn't take to life at Old Trafford.

Credit must be given for the way that Depay has rebuilt his career, and now it seems that he's set for a second chance with a move to Barcelona.

Valued at £39.6million by Transfermarkt, a deal to sign the 26-year-old won't be cheap for the Spanish side.

However if reports of a £30million deal are to be believed, then Barcelona are certainly getting a decent deal.
