Chelsea brushed Brighton aside in their opening Premier League fixture on Monday night.

Frank Lampard's side won 3-1 away from home and all eyes were on new signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

While both players had solid debuts, the goals came from some unlikely sources.

Jorginho netted the opener from the penalty spot before Reece James got himself on the scoresheet with a stunning 25-yard strike in the second half.

Kurt Zouma's deflected volley ensured Chelsea went back to Stamford Bridge with all three points.

While it was the old guard who scored the goals against Brighton, it's clear that this season is going to be very different.

Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva are all set to make their debuts very soon after Lampard splashed over £200m on new signings this summer.

Chelsea have made big signings this summer

With all that new firepower, there's a danger of some players falling out of favour and leaving the club.

If reports are to be believed, one of them could be Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 19-year-old is very highly regarded by Chelsea fans, but after signing a bumper new deal last year, he's failed to establish himself in the team as many hoped.

Hudson-Odoi is highly rated by Chelsea

Now, according to The Sun, Hudson-Odoi could soon leave Stamford Bridge, because Juventus, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are all interested in signing him.

The interest from the Bundesliga champions is nothing new. After all, Bayern have tried hard to sign him before.

But now Juve have entered the mix, it'll be even harder for Chelsea to hold on to one of their young stars.

Chelsea might not be able to hold on to CHO

Two of Europe's top clubs, plus Leipzig, are set to battle for Hudson-Odoi's signature.

With tough attacking competition at Chelsea this season, it wouldn't be surprising to see the youngster leave, no matter how highly he's rated by supporters.
