Arsenal have confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new contract with the club during a live stream on their official website.  The future of the Gunners' star player had been up in the air for months, but he's now put all the noise to bed by signing on the dotted line. According to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, the striker has turned down two offers to stay in north London. It's believed that Aubameyang has been handed a three-year deal until 2023, worth over £350,000-a-week, making him Arsenal's highest-paid player ahead of Mesut Ozil. You can see the full live stream below:

Fans will be over the moon to hear the Gabonese striker has committed his long-term future to the Gunners.

Aubameyang was instrumental in the club's FA Cup success last season, scoring a brace in the semi-final against Manchester City before netting the two winning goals against Chelsea in the final.

He started the 2020/21 Premier League season off perfectly on Saturday too.

Aubameyang has signed a new deal with Arsenal

Arsenal brushed aside newly-promoted Fulham 3-0 in their opening fixture and it was Aubameyang who scored the pick of the goals, curling a beauty past Marek Rodak.

Now that he's finally signed a new deal, the forward could become Arteta's most influential figure and will no doubt lead the club into a new era under their Spanish manager.

He was already club captain and now he's the highest-paid member of the squad, the pressure is on him to deliver every single week.

Aubameyang will need to deliver as Arsenal's highest earner

Based on what we've seen since Aubameyang arrived in 2018, that won't be a problem.
