Tottenham are desperate to re-sign Gareth Bale this summer.The Welshman left north London in the summer of 2013 to join Real Madrid in what was a then world record £85m deal.Bale has won every trophy available with the Spanish giants, including four Champions Leagues, but has firmly fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane.Real Madrid are actively looking to offload the 31-year-old this summer and a return to the Premier League is being touted.Manchester United were being linked with a loan move for Bale, but Tottenham now seem the most likely destination on English shores for the Welsh forward.Bale with Real MadridThe Telegraph are reporting that Spurs are already looking to structure a deal to bring Bale back to London on a temporary basis and it could lead to a swap deal which would see Dele Alli join Real Madrid.

The proposal would see Alli move to Spain on a season-long loan, with Real Madrid covering 100% of his wages.

Bale would then move to Spurs and Los Blancos would cover around 50% of the Welshman's enormous salary.

It's a deal that could prove beneficial to both players. Bale is in desperate needs of regular first-team football and it's evidently clear that he will not get that under Zidane's rule.

Spurs would be able to offer the Welshman the game time he craves and Jose Mourinho would finally have the additional striking option he has been crying out for.

As for Alli, a move to Madrid could be the change of scenery the 24-year-old needs in his career after years of stagnation on English shores.
