FIFA 21: Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente is faster than Jadon Sancho & Serge Gnabry

Marcos Llorente is going to be a beast on FIFA 21!

EA Sports have understandably received heavy criticism for their player ratings on FIFA 21.

The company announced the upcoming game's top 100 players last Thursday and it's safe to say fans are not happy with regards to a number of big names.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thiago Alcantara, David Alaba and Timo Werner - to name just a few - were bizarrely downgraded, while the likes of Memphis Depay and Roberto Firmino received upgrades.

Both Depay and Firmino may have enjoyed decent 2019/20 seasons with Lyon and Liverpool respecively, but more so than the aforementioned quartet? Absolutely not.

It does make you wonder what on earth is going on at EA Sports' headquarters and another player reveal in recent days has left fans scratching their heads once again.

Llorente in action

Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente has received a +2 upgrade to his base rating, taking him to 82 overall after a breakthrough season with Diego Simeone's side in 2019/20.

But his new overall rating is not the issue whatsoever. The problem is the fact that EA Sports have handed the Spanish midfielder a pace rating of 84.

To put that into context, both Jadon Sancho (83 pace) and Bayern Munich flyer Serge Gnabry (82 pace) are ranked lower than Llorente in terms of speed on FIFA 21.

It's ridiculous, right? Gnabry is renowned as one of the most rapid wingers on the planet, while Sancho is no slouch either.

One positive about Llorente's new eye-catching card for FIFA players is his potential partnership with Real Madrid's Fede Valverde on Ultimate Team.

Los Blancos' Uruguayan midfielder has been boosted to 83 overall and the 22-year-old starlet has an even superior pace rating to Llorente, with a muscular 86 to his name.

Get ready to see that pairing in every Weekend League team you face upon FIFA 21's release early next month.
