Inter Milan's amazing squad depth ahead of the 2020/21 Italian season

Antonio Conte's Inter Milan squad looks seriously impressive

Inter Milan really are thriving in this summer's transfer market.

The Nerazzurri finished second in Serie A and reached the Europa League final in Antonio Conte's first season as manager in 2019/20.

While the club failed to win silverware, there were huge positive to take from the campaign and they have further bolstered their already magnificent squad in the past few months.

Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi and Alexis Sanchez have been signed on permanent deals following impressive loan spells at Inter last season.

The Italian giants have also added highly-rated right-wing back Achraf Hakimi to their squad in a £36m deal and there really aren't many players more suited to Conte's 3-5-2 formation than the Moroccan.

To top it all off, Arturo Vidal is on the cusp of signing for the Nerazzurri from Barcelona to add to the midfield riches already at Conte's disposal.

Inter's business in the transfer market means at the time of writing, they will boast a squad for 2020/21 that has the depth and quality to finally bring an end to Juventus' Serie A dominance.

We've created a lineup graphic for you to view below detailing Inter's current squad depth and it's pretty spectacular.

Those midfield options are an absolute joke!

The fact Christian Eriksen, the returning Radja Nainggolan and Vidal will likely not be guaranteed starters highlights just how strong Conte's squad is looking ahead of Serie A's return next weekend.

Inter are also spoiled for choice in both wing-back departments. New signing Aleksandr Kolarov will likely take the left-wing back spot, with Ivan Perisic - who appears to now have a future at the club after his loan spell at Bayern Munich - Ashley Young and Kwadwo Asamoah as backup options.

Over on the right, Hakimi will receive competition from experienced Italian pair Danilo D'Ambrosio and Antonio Candreva.

Diego Godin's impending departure slightly weakens Conte's back-line, but the manager will be more than happy to offer 18-year-old Lorenzo Pirola more game time as a result.

It's a squad that has the perfect blend of experience and youth, with Pirola, Hakimi, Bastoni, Barella, Lautaro Martinez and Sebastiano Esposito all aged 23 or younger.

Premier League teams will certainly be keen to avoid Conte's Inter in the Champions League!
