Aubameyang signs: Who are the 10 highest-earning players in the Premier League?

Auba is the Premier League's highest earner

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finally signed a new contract with Arsenal.

The future of the Gunners' star player was up in the air for months, but he's put all talk of a move away to bed by signing a three-year extension.

It's believed that the striker turned down two big offers from other clubs to stay in north London and yesterday, he explained that decision.

"I want to become an Arsenal legend, just like Thierry [Henry], [Ian] Wright, [Tony] Adams and [Dennis] Bergkamp," Aubameyang said.

"I want to leave a legacy, this is where I belong. This is my family. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal."

By signing his new deal, Aubameyang becomes Arsenal's highest-paid player on a wage of over £350,000-per-week.

Not only does that make him the Gunners top earner, but it also sees him pocket more money than anyone else in the Premier League too.

1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang | Arsenal | £350k-plus per week

Auba tops the list

There's an awful lot of money being made on that list which is, of course, dominated by players from the big sides.

Interestingly though, no Liverpool players make the top 10. You've got to respect the Premier League champions for having such a strict wage structure in place.

But look how many Arsenal players are on the list. Three of the 10 highest-earners in the Premier League now play for the Gunners.

Big things are expected at Arsenal this season

With so much money being spent, results are going to be expected. Finishing outside the top four may well be seen as nothing short of a failure this season.
