Manchester United fans are becoming increasingly irked and disillusioned as we move closer to the end of the summer transfer window. With less than three weeks remaining before the window closes, Donny van de Beek is still the club’s only summer signing.United were linked with Real Madrid duo Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale this week but both players are now on the verge of sealing moves to Tottenham.Man Utd’s main transfer target throughout this summer has been Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho. The 20-year-old, who scored the opening goal in Dortmund’s 5-0 victory over MSV Duisburg on Monday, is worth a staggering £108 million in the eyes of his current employers.p1eibjull7kn31kvruod6n81d9he.jpgDortmund are refusing to budge on their asking price, while United have no desire to pay that amount of money.Who blinks first remains to be seen. But if both clubs stubbornly stick by their guns, Sancho will remain a Dortmund player for the 2020-21 campaign. One fan has had enough of United’s dilly-dallying and has taken matters into his own hands.Matthew Kelley has set up a GoFundMe page (yep, seriously) titled ‘Help Manchester United buy Jadon Sancho’.p1eibjnadop7al4e1pn9r631v7g9.jpg“Ed Woodward and the Glazers aren’t competent enough to sign Jadon Sancho when we haven’t had a right winger since Nani,” Kelley writes.“I’m sick of seeing that boy Dan James run with the ball like a bull that sees a red flag.“I’m raising money for the transfer for Manchester United as they can’t afford him for some strange reason.”In less than 24 hours, 18 donors have raised £135 towards the £108,000,000 target.

The page has been shared 906 times at the time of writing and the highest donation so far has come from Mauricio Medrano, who has pledged 20 of his hard-earned pounds towards the campaign to bring Sancho to Old Trafford.

United fans are clearly desperate and who can blame them?

Liverpool and Manchester City are still miles ahead, Arsenal are making big progress under Mikel Arteta, Chelsea have strengthened massively this summer, while Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham are also about to become more dangerous.

If United end the window without Sancho, fans will fear the worst for the remainder of the season.
