Leeds United are in a great place at the moment.
After cruising to promotion in rampant style last term they've really kicked on this summer.
To win the Championship by 10 clear points showed their dominance, but the Whites certainly aren't easing up as this campaign gets up and running.
Leeds may have lost their opening Premier League fixture against Liverpool 4-3, but there has already been real signs of promise.
The club have spent significant sums in the transfer market with deals for Robin Koch and Rodrigo taking the plaudits, while deals for a crop of talented young players have also been completed.
Those deals have certainly burnt a hole in the pockets of Andrea Radrizzani, but he's not finished yet.
Several other players have already been linked with a move to Elland Road, with one player really attracting the attention.
We're talking about Josko Gvardiol.
The Dinamo Zagreb defender is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football after bursting onto the scene at just 18 years old.
Valued at £5.4million by Transfermarkt, the centre-back is a long-term target for the Whites, and according to reputable reporter Phil Hay, Leeds are prepared to splash the cash in order to get a deal done.
Writing for The Athletic, Hay said: "Leeds remain seriously interested in Dinamo Zagreb’s Josko Gvardiol and have the budget to fund a move for the £20 million-rated defender.
"At 18 years old, a prospect touted as one of the best in Europe could be an astute, long-term investment."
Hay added: "When it comes to signing another centre-back, Leeds are yet to play their hand."
GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...
This is a link that certainly seems to have some legs.
Leeds United are working hard to bring several players in this summer with a focus on talented youngsters.
Josko Gvardiol certainly fits the bill.
Phil Hay is the go-to man for transfer news at Elland Road and that means that his updates are generally spot on.
While a deal hasn't been agreed yet, this update from Hay certainly suggests that the club are firmly on the right track.
£20million is a lot of money for a player with just 14 senior appearances to his name, but given the amount of potential that he has you can see why it's worth a move.
Gvardiol's value will sky-rocket in the next 12 months and so for Leeds to tie up a deal for him now would be incredibly shrewd business.
