It's been a rollercoaster summer for Newcastle United.
The lows of their proposed £300million takeover by PIF left supporters feeling deflated and annoyed, but that feeling soon started to disappear.
With attention turning to matters in the transfer market, the Magpies got off to a steady start by bringing in Mark Gillespie and Jeff Hendrick on free transfers.
However things soon gathered pace.
Within the space of just 48 hours Newcastle completed deals for three first team players with Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser and Jamal Lewis all heading to St James' Park.
Those transfers were certainly a signal of intent for the Tynesiders, but it seems that they're far from done.
In fact, reports have suggested that the club have got a potential new arrival training with the team.
Chronicle Live are claiming that Florent Indalecio is on trial with the Magpies.
The 23-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving French side Saint Etienne for one the report describes as 'bad behaviour'.
Since then he has spent time in Australia with Fraser Park FC, before returning to Europe as he looks to kickstart his career.
Indalecio is a creative midfielder and captured attention with a stunning bicycle kick in training, with the footage captured by Allan Saint-Maximin.
While Steve Bruce is continuing to look at the player, it remains to be seen whether the club will look to make a formal move to sign him.
GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...
Well, this is an interesting story.
There's no doubting the credibility of the link given the fact that Florent Indalecio is currently training with Newcastle United.
But you have to consider whether it's a deal that will work out in the long run.
By all accounts the 23-year-old is an incredibly talented player, but if his attitude isn't right then that is a big problem.
Steve Bruce needs players who he can rely on week in, week out and that will be key to helping the club to meet their objectives.
Indalecio isn't a kid anymore, and that means that really he needs to be playing regular first team football if he's to carve at a career at the highest level.
Whether he's shown enough on trial to earn a deal remains to be seen, but this is a big decision for the club and one that they need to get right.
