Bale has been a success overall at Real Madrid, netting 105 goals in 251 appearances while winning a host of major honours in the process, including four Champions League titles.

Presuming Bale can rediscover his form and confidence, Tottenham’s chances of securing a top-four finish this season have suddenly increased significantly.

Spurs are also on the brink of signing Bale’s teammate Sergio Reguilon, who will sign a five-year contract after completing his £27 million transfer.
