It's been a very busy few days at Liverpool Football Club.

Yesterday, multiple reports confirmed that the Reds had finally agreed a fee to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich and the £25m deal was announced earlier today.

Liverpool fans have been crying out for a marquee signing and they've got one in the 29-year-old midfielder.

Spanish publication SPORT also reported today that Jurgen Klopp's side were looking to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele on loan.

Whether Liverpool's pursuit of the Frenchman will actually materialise remains to be seen, but it appears the club are already looking elsewhere to bolster their forward line.

Klopp with Liverpool

As reported by the Independent, Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Wolves' Diogo Jota in a deal that is expected to be in excess of £35m.

Jota was an unused substitute in Wolves' 2-0 win away at Sheffield United on Monday evening, fuelling speculation that he could depart the club this summer.

Last night in the EFL Cup, Jota turned up to join the squad in Stoke but left before the game started, once again casting doubt over his future.

Should Liverpool complete the signing of the Portuguese star, they will be adding a seriously talented player to their roster.

A two-footed attacker, Jota is capable of playing in multiple roles across the forward line and is still just 23-years-old.

Jota with Wolves

In his 131 games with Wolves, the former FC Porto man has scored 44 goals and contributed with 19 assists.

His 67 Premier League appearances have yielded 16 goals and six assists, an impressive return given he's rarely used as an out-and-out striker.

The stats suggest Jota would be the perfect man to provide quality cover for Liverpool's famous front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Klopp's Premier League champions are going to be tough to stop in 2020/21!
