Thiago Alcantara is officially a Liverpool player.
After months of rumours and concern from Reds fans over whether the club would cough up the cash to sign the Spaniard, the 29-year-old has completed his move to the Premier League.
Liverpool have stated they will pay an initial fee of £20m - which could rise to £25m - for Thiago, with the mercurial midfielder penning a four-year deal at Anfield.
The fee in question is an absolute bargain, but Bayern didn't have much of a choice as the former Barcelona man had just one year remaining on his contract.
Nevertheless, Liverpool have signed one of the world's best at an absolute steal and to put that £25m into perspective, we've decided to revisit some disastrous expensive Premier League signings.
The 25 players below all cost more - way more in some cases - than Thiago and not a single one has been worth the money.
Chelsea crop up on eight occasions, while Liverpool themselves also feature twice. But don't worry Reds fans, three Everton players make the list!

We've probably missed a few, but it's still an eyeopening collection of transfers that put into perspective just how good Liverpool's signing of Thiago is.
A few skeptics will bring up the fact that the Spaniard is now 29 and has been prone to serious injury throughout his career.
But he has proven his fitness in recent months, playing a starring role for Bayern Munich in the final games of their Champions League campaign last month.
The versatile midfielder is playing the best football of his life and if he can stay fit for the majority of the 2020/21 season, Liverpool have signed a player worth £70m+ for a fraction of the price.
