Manchester United kicked off their Premier League campaign with a disastrous 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were given an extra week off as they recovered from their Europa League exploits, which ultimately saw them lose in the semi-final to Sevilla.

But they certainly didn’t look ready when Palace rocked up at Old Trafford.

Within seven minutes, they were 1-0 down when Andros Townsend turned in Jeffrey Schlupp’s low cross.

With the likes of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in the starting line-up, you’d have expected United to react.

But the quartet offered very little.

In fact, Pogba was taken off after 67 minutes for new signing Donny van de Beek following a pretty wretched performance.

The World Cup winner failed to have an impact on the match and was completely outshone by James McCarthy and James McArthur.

And now, days after the match, a 30-second clip of Pogba is going viral.

Titled ‘Paul Pogba summed up in 30 seconds’ it certainly doesn’t paint the midfield in a good light.

First, Pogba attempts to play a short pass into Fernandes which is intercepted by Jordan Ayew. His reaction to giving the ball away is nothing short of embarrassing as he barely jogs back.

Remember, United are 1-0 down at this point.

Luckily for Pogba, Fernandes produces some brilliant work to win the ball back for his team.

Harry Maguire then plays the ball into Pogba again. This time, he attempts an ambitious pass out to the left wing which is easily cut out by Townsend. His body language, once again, is shocking.

The clip does end with him winning a tackle but Palace regain possession as Pogba jogs away.

After seeing the clip, United fans were extremely disappointed with the midfielder. Check out the reaction:

Look, we all know Pogba is an incredible footballer on his day but judging by his performance against Palace on Saturday, he had no interest in being there.

The only excuse we can offer is the fact he contracted coronavirus during the summer and missed part of pre-season.

Even before the Palace game, his manager suggested that he may not be fit to play.

"Paul's had a couple of training sessions so he's lost out on a few sessions because of the virus, of course,” Solskjaer admitted.

"But Paul is quick to get fit. Of course, he worked really hard to get back after lockdown last time and played the majority of the games. Hopefully, he'll be ready for next weekend. I am not 100 per cent sure though."

He probably shouldn’t have played, should he?
