Manchester United began their Premier League campaign with a disappointing 3-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side went 1-0 down within eight minutes when Andros Townsend finished past David de Gea.
Palace's lead was doubled in the 74th-minute when Wilfried Zaha converted a penalty - at the second time of asking.
It was Victor Lindelof who conceded the spot-kick, with VAR judging that he had handled the ball inside the box.
To many watching, it was an incredibly harsh decision, but rules are rules.
Zaha converted before adding a third goal 10 minutes later to give the visitors a shock 3-1 win at Old Trafford.
Although Lindelof can hardly be blamed for the penalty - it could have happened to anyone - Man United supporters are beginning to tire of his performances.
The Manchester Evening News rated the Swedish defender 2/10 against Palace, while fans have been sharing a video of the last five goals United have conceded, claiming Lindelof is at fault for all of them.
It certainly seems like there's room for improvement at the back. But according to a report from The Athletic's David Ornstein, Man United aren't going to sign a centre-back this summer.
"United’s first-choice pairing of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof came in for sharp criticism as their side were beaten 3-1 and looked particularly vulnerable to the pace of Palace’s forwards," he wrote.
"Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named Eric Bailly among his substitutes while Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Axel Tuanzebe and Teden Mengi are all on the books at Old Trafford.
"With these options in mind, United did not view centre-back as a priority for the market and The Athletic has been told there has been no change in strategy, despite the perceived weakness.
"They have been offered players who could potentially help bolster that part of the team, however it has been made clear in conversations that other positions are of more immediate concern."
So, the club is confident enough in Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Tuanzebe and Mengi, that they don't want a new CB and will instead focus on trying to strengthen other areas.
Sorry Man United fans, it sounds like you're going to have to struggle through another season with that Lindelof/Maguire pairing at the back.
