Leeds United have enjoyed an excellent summer so far.
After storming to promotion from the Championship there was only ever going to be one focus for the season ahead.
Of course we're talking about Premier League survival.
Despite winning the second tier by 10 clear points there was never a worry of Leeds counting their chickens ahead of the new campaign.
After 16 years away it was always going to be a tough task to adapt to life in the fast lane and that's why the Whites have been working so hard to acclimatise.
Marcelo Bielsa is fiercely loyal to the group of players who secured promotion last term, but there's an acceptance that efforts need to be made to strengthen.
Robin Koch and Rodrigo have already completed big-money moves to Elland Road, while the likes of Cody Drameh, Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt have also arrived with an eye on the future.
But Leeds are far from done yet.
The club are still in the market for a central defender and it seems that a breakthrough is moving closer.
Sky Sports have reported that the club are in advanced talks over a deal for Diego Llorente.
The Real Sociedad star is said to be close to a move that will see him link up with the Premier League side.
Valued at £18million by Transfermarkt, the details behind the proposed details are yet to emerge but it will certainly be well received by supporters.
Plenty of names have been linked with a move to the club this summer including the likes of Ben White, Rob Holding, Juan Foyth and Josko Gvardiol.
However with no deal struck with those players, a move for the La Liga star could signal the end of a long search for a centre-back who is ready for first team football.
GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...
This is potentially great news for Leeds United.
The club have been searching high and low for a central defender to come into the club with various names linked.
While plenty of targets have been pursued, Victor Orta has struggled to find a solution that fits the criteria set out by Marcelo Bielsa, who wants a player with the right quality who is available at the right price tag.
With just two weeks left of the transfer window things were starting to get a bit nervy at Elland Road.
That means that such a breakthrough is a real boost.
Diego Llorente is in the prime of his career and so if the deal can be completed fans will be hoping that he can hit the ground running at Elland Road.
