UFC news: Colby Covington continues war of words with NBA superstar LeBron James

Colby Covington is continuing to blast NBA superstar LeBron James in an extraordinary rant where he’s claimed ‘he couldn’t live 10 seconds with me.’

Covington is coming off the back of a win at UFC Vegas 11, where he defeated Tyron Woodley, however, it’s the feud after the fight that has seemingly picked up a lot of interest and coverage.

After his win, he praised first responders and the military whilst taking aim against ‘woke athletes’ in terms of protesting.

He branded LeBron James a ‘spineless coward’ for his continued protests, while also claiming if the two fought, Covington would see him off quickly despite the huge difference in height between the two athletes.

That’s probably because you are a UFC fighter and he’s an NBA player, though, Colby…

Covington wasn’t done there, however, he then took to Twitter to continue his blistering attack against the Lakers superstar.

Covington ‘tweeted’: “LOL at the snowflakes that believe @KingJames could even last 10 seconds with me! If that coward had the balls or the ability to kick anyone’s ass, Delonte West would’ve lost his teeth long before his meth habit!”

LeBron has yet to respond to this. but it will be intriguing to see how he chooses to do so.

Covington has a reputation of calling anyone out, especially with the continued Black Lives Matter protests taking place across USA.

After his win on Saturday night, ‘Chaos’ received a call from President Trump, congratulating him on his win. It seems that the President has found favour with him on this issue of patriotism and sticking by the first responders and the military.

Covington stopped Woodley in the fifth round of their bout on Saturday night, with the latter sustaining a severe rib injury. He returns with a win after previously losing to Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title.

Whatever comes out of this feud remains to be seen, but it surely will be fiery!
