EA Sports have officially revealed the top 1000 footballers on FIFA 21 ahead of the game's release on October 9.

There have been some interesting ratings handed out to players across the world and as usual, there are those who look as if they're going to be seriously overpowered.

Every year, there's a selection of players who may not be the best in real-life or even have the highest rating on FIFA, but still torment gamers over on Ultimate Team.

So we've decided to scour through the ratings and pick out 23 players - rated between 84 and 79 - that we believe are going to fall into the 'overpowered' category this time around.

All images sourced from FUTHead. An error in FUTHead's database means some cards are showing as non-rare, but all will be rare in the game itself.

Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco) | 84 rated

Ben Yedder's card

The king of FIFA 20 is back and his FIFA 21 card looks even more deadly. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Anthony Martial (Man Utd) | 84 rated

Martial's card

United's main man up top is going to be a nightmare to play against in the early months of FIFA 21. That pace and dribbling combination is going to be lethal.

Portu (Real Sociedad) | 83 rated

Portu's card

Portu's base stats look very impressive and he will surely take the right-wing position in many La Liga teams upon FIFA 21's release.

Diego Carlos (Sevilla) | 83 rated

Carlos' card

Carlos' special cards on FIFA 20 were so, so good and this time around, his base card is already an absolute monster.

Joe Gomez (Liverpool) | 83 rated

Gomez's card

We get the feeling we're going to be seeing Gomez's face in the loading screen quite a lot in FIFA 21. Just look at that pace!

Nelson Semedo (Wolves) | 83 rated

Semedo's card

Linking Gomez to Semedo should be illegal and frankly, we feel gamers should refuse to do so (even though we'll certainly be doing it). Opposing attackers do not stand a chance.

Ferland Mendy (Real Madrid) | 83 rated

Mendy's card

Mendy's 80-rated card on FIFA 20 was ridiculously overpowered, so this 83-rated beauty may just make every right-winger on the game redundant.

Fede Valverde (Real Madrid) | 83 rated

Valverde's card

Do not adjust your screen, Valverde really does have a pace rating of 86 and guess what? He'll have that perfect green link to Mendy.

Denis Zakaria (Borussia Monchengladbach) | 83 rated

Zakaria's card

What a beast! The perfect player for that holding midfield role in Bundesliga-themed teams.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Man Utd) | 83 rated

Wan-Bissaka's card

If Semedo doesn't tickle your fancy, then maybe Wan-Bissaka will. The United man alongside Gomez is an all-English combination we like the look of.

Steven Bergwijn (Tottenham) | 83 rated

Bergwijn's card

We're not overly sure why Bergwijn's been handed a +1 upgrade, but his new card looks fantastic. He might even stand a chance against Semedo and Wan-Bissaka.

Sergio Reguilon (Tottenham) | 83 rated

Reguilon's card

Spurs' new left-back looks like he'll be the go-to for Premier League teams and he'll also have that sweet green link to Bergwijn.

Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig) | 82 rated

Laimer's card

Another Bundesliga beast. A CDM with 85-pace? Don't mind if we do!

Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid) | 82 rated

Llorente's card

The thought of Llorente, Valverde and Mendy in the same team is already sending shivers down our spine...

Quincy Promes (Ajax) | 82 rated

Promes' card

Ajax's five-star skill machine was lethal as a winger in FIFA 20, so he's going to cause untold chaos operating down the middle.

Felipe Anderson (West Ham) | 81 rated

Anderson's card

Not quite as appealing as his 84-rated card on FIFA 20, but Anderson is still going to be a serious threat - especially in the early weeks of Ultimate Team.

Richarlison (Everton) | 81 rated

Richarlison's card

The perfect Premier League striker to kickstart your FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. Impressive base stats and that beautiful five-star weak foot, Richarlison is a must-have player.

Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich) | 81 rated

Davies' card

A left-back with 96-pace. That's all we need to say really.

Jerome Roussillon (Wolfsburg) | 80 rated

Roussillon's card

The Bundesliga's left-back options look pretty tasty. If Davies is out of your price range, we strongly recommend bringing Roussillon on board.

Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid) | 80 rated

Vinicius' card

Okay, remember a while back when we said a trio of Llorente, Valverde and Mendy sent shivers down our spine? Well, a quartet with Vinicius thrown in the mix has officially knocked us for six, good night.

Allan Saint-Maximin (Newcastle) | 80 rated

Saint-Maximin's card

Absolutely rapid with five-star skills? Sounds good to us. Right-backs, you have been warned.

Adama Traore (Wolves) | 79 rated

Traore's card

The Wolves speedster's new shiny gold card is going to be devastating in-game and the green link between Traore and Semedo is one you're going to be seeing on a regular basis.

Nathan Ake (Man City) | 79 rated

Ake's card

The perfect centre-back partner for Gomez. Ake, Gomez, Semedo/Wan-Bissaka and Reguilon looks like a seriously overpowered back-four to us, perfect for Weekend League.
