Arsenal transfer news: Tottenham's Dele Alli would be 'good fit' for the Gunners

Alli has been linked with a move away from Spurs

Dele Alli could be on his way out of Tottenham.

It was reported earlier this month that manager Jose Mourinho may not fancy the midfielder and has told him to improve if he wants to play more regularly.

Before Thursday's Europa League tie against KF Shkendija - which Alli started - he had been limited to just 45 minutes of action so far this season.

Rumours of a potential exit began to swirl, with Paris Saint-Germain being heavily linked.

However, per The Telegraph, the Ligue 1 champions have cooled their interest in the 24-year-old because they are struggling to agree on personal terms.

So where else could Alli end up? Well, pundit Ray Parlour has urged Arsenal to make a bid for the player, suggesting he'd fit in well with the Gunners.

"£50 million has got to be the marker. One thing about Arsenal is that they lack goals from central midfield areas and [Alli] would tick that box," the talkSPORT host said.

Alli is a goalscoring midfielder

"He does score goals - he can get you 10 from midfield if he plays on a regular basis. Whether he can get more under Mikel Arteta I don't know.

"But what he's done with other players, they've responded and I'm sure Alli would be exactly the same.

"I don't think Spurs would sell Dele Alli to Arsenal, there would be an uproar from the fans... but he would certainly be a good fit for Arsenal.

Alli has been tipped for a move to Arsenal

"The fans would be very happy, they would be getting a quality player off their rivals... they would be happy to get a Dele Alli."

GIVEMESPORT's Ollie Browning says:

If Arsenal were to go after Alli, it would be a huge coup. The Gunners are looking to bolster their midfield this summer and have even been linked with Chelsea's Jorginho.

But taking a star from their north London rivals? That would be next level. Although we can't see it happening - as Palour says - it's unlikely Spurs would sell. But it is an interesting suggestion.

Alli is probably not going to move to Arsenal

The midfielder certainly would fit right in feeding the likes of Willian, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette and could definitely chip in with a few goals of his own.

However, it's unlikely we'll see another Sol Campbell situation develop just yet.
