Liverpool fans were understandably thrilled when their club announced the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich last week.
One of the most technically-gifted footballers about, the Reds managed to seal Thiago’s signature for £25 million - a relative bargain in today’s market.
The 29-year-old made his Liverpool two days after joining the club, against Chelsea last Sunday.
Thiago entered the fray at the start of the second-half and dictated the tempo of the match against the 10-man Blues at Stamford Bridge.
He also set a new Premier League record. His 75 successful passes were the most by a player who played a maximum of 45 minutes.
Thiago is now expected to make his first start on Monday night when Liverpool go head-to-head against Arsenal at Anfield.
Ahead of next week’s Premier League clash, Thiago and his teammates trained on Friday.
The latest ‘Inside Training’ video has now dropped - and Thiago was oozing with confidence throughout the session.
