Chelsea have not been messing around this summer.
The Blues have spent over £222 million on seven new first-team players.
Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr have all arrived at Stamford Bridge and Frank Lampard might not be done there.
Reports suggest the Chelsea boss is targeting one more major signing - West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
It's believed a fee of over £50 million would be needed to secure his signing but given how the Blues have been splashing the cash this summer, don't rule it out.
But what would that mean for those already at Stamford Bridge?
Chelsea already have one of the strongest midfields in the Premier League, with Mason Mount, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Billy Gilmour and N'Golo Kante in their ranks.
If Rice is to join, the Blues would almost certainly have to sell one of their current stars and according to the Daily Mail, it's Kante who could be in line for a shock exit.
They report that the French World Cup winner is 'open' to joining Inter Milan this summer for a reunion with Antonio Conte.
The Italian club are said to be 'desperate' to sign Kante and the boss is convinced he'll be the final piece of the jigsaw for his squad.
However, Inter will struggle to meet Chelsea's £46m asking price and will have to sell players in order to fund the move.
The Premier League side have already rejected offers involving Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic.
GIVEMESPORT's Ollie Browning says:
This is a rather shocking development. Kante has been key to Chelsea's success over the past four years and is still regarded as one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Frank Lampard certainly shouldn't be in any rush to sell him, even if he does want to bring in Rice.
The Frenchman, still only 28, will surely be an important part of the club's plans as they look to challenge for silverware this season.
