Leeds United are on top of the world right now. After winning the Championship by 10 points last season it seemed that the Whites were at the peak of their power with promotion in the bag.It turns out that that was only the start. The Yorkshire side have worked tirelessly to ensure that their transition back into the Premier League was as seamless as possible. After all, 16 years is a long time to be away from elite level football. But returning to the top flight has been a breeze for Marcelo Bielsa's side who have won two of their opening three fixtures. That defeat came to reigning champions Liverpool which shows just how far they've come.A lot of credit has to go to Bielsa's existing squad who have taken on the challenge of proving themselves at the highest.p1ej821t5d1e0o1fev3fmv7cr3v9.jpgThat group of players are the core of Leeds' success, and deserve plenty of plaudits. But the Whites have also strengthened wisely in the transfer market.Deals to sign Robin Koch, Rodrigo and Diego Llorente have added real quality to Bielsa's squad, - something that could be very important as the season unfolds. However it seems that Leeds aren't yet done. The Whites are determined to strengthen their side further and are hoping that an attacking midfielder can be brought on board before the transfer window slams shut.p1ej825s4i1gic1e5poi012mm1vnfb.jpgOne player who has been linked is Todd Cantwell. The Norwich City star was impressive during the Canaries' season in the Premier League after scoring seven goals for the relegated side. Those performances have made him a target for Leeds United, with Mike McGrath of The Telegraph claiming that Bielsa's side are in talks with the midfielder over a move.

McGrath tweeted: "Understand Leeds United have spoken to Norwich about Todd Cantwell.

"Official bid yet to be made for the England U21 midfielder."

He added: "Cantwell among the players Leeds looking at, not the only one."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

What a deal this would be for Leeds United.

Todd Cantwell was hugely impressive for Norwich City last term as he established himself as a star man in Daniel Farke's side.

While the Canaries suffered relegation, Cantwell showed his quality on the ball and his high work rate off it - something which Marcelo Bielsa rates exceptionally highly.

Valued at £18million by Transfermarkt, the 22-year-old would be a perfect tactical and cultural fit for the Whites - not to mention how much he will learn by working under Bielsa.

It seems that there's a long way to go with this one, but if it can be completed before the end of the window then I'm sure that the Leeds fans will be delighted.
