Leeds United could be a force to be reckoned with this season.
After winning promotion from the Championship last term it was clear to see just how confident Marcelo Bielsa's side were going into the summer.
Thankfully, that's something that looks to have carried into the new season.
The Whites have got off to an excellent start to the Premier League campaign, winning two of their three games so far.
While avoiding relegation will be the key objective for the Yorkshire side, it seems that Leeds could be targeting a finish much higher in the table.
Plenty of credit has to go to Bielsa and the squad of players who won the league so emphatically last term.
But there's no doubt that Leeds need to strengthen.
Alongside a number of talented youngsters, the club have completed deals for Robin Koch, Rodrigo and Diego Llorente already this summer.
However it seems that Leeds are far from done yet.
As well as signing an attack-minded winger, the club are keen to add quality to Bielsa's midfield with one key addition moving closer.
Reports on Monday suggested that Leeds are pursuing a deal for Michael Cuisance.
The Bayern Munich starlet is craving first team opportunities after making just 11 appearances for the German giants since joining last summer.
A move to Elland Road appears to be gathering pace for Christian Falk of SportBild in Germany claiming that talks are entering 'a decisive phase'.
Falk tweeted: "The negotiations between Bayern Munich and Leeds United are entering the decisive phase.
"The player has permission to leave the club."
Those reports were backed up by Fabrizio Romano who claims that an €20million (£18million) fee is on the table.
He said: "Talks progressing between Leeds and Bayern Münich for Michaël Cuisance.
"Personal terms already agreed.
"€20million (£18million) as final fee offered by Leeds to complete the deal."
GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...
Leeds United fans should be very excited by the way that this is developing.
Valued at £9million by Transfermarkt, Michael Cuisance is a player with a glowing reputation in European football as he prepares for a career at the highest level.
Unfortunately things haven't quite worked out at Bayern Munich.
While he's still highly-rated, Cuisance needs to be playing first team football if he's going to fulfil his undoubted potential.
A move to Elland Road would certainly help with that.
Marcelo Bielsa would relish the chance to play with such a talented young player and would surely help to bring the best out of him.
Cuisance would face a battle to get into the starting XI, but there's no doubt that he has the quality to be a real success.
